East VillageGeneral Info La inceputul secolului XX East Village era zona unde traiau familiile aristrocrate din New York. Cand familiile Stuyvesant, Astor si Vanderbilt s-au mutat din acest cartier, East Village a fost ocupat de emigranti din diferite tari. In anii 60 din secolul trecut, datorita preturilor mici, sunt atrasi "beat generation" care a fost urmat la scurt timp de catre punks.
