Greenwich Village este un sat autentic, care a devenit locul de refugiu al populatiei din New York in timpul unei epidemii de febra galbena din 1822. Ereditatea sa, de sat, e inca vie in complicatele strazi care nu au fost adaptate la planul urban al orasului New York. Greenwich Village a ramas un mic oras in inima lui Big Apple, devenind un refugiu pentru artisti celebrii si scriitori. Astzi, satul o zona populata de persoane homsexule si in fiecare zi, din ce in ce mai multi studenti de la NYU vin aici sa locuiasca. Aici veti gasi urmele lui E. A. Poe, E. E.
